Skiing

Okay. As you may know I have been in Colorado skiing for the past 6 days.

It's been fun.

I did my first double black diamond/bowl which is the hardest type of slope. And hated every minute of it. I didn't ski it, I survived it.

And for some reason, Safari (the standard browser for the Mac) only lets me post in html.

And laptops aren't as cool as desktops. But that's a different post altogether.

From the beggining.

Friday- School, need I say more? Then Scott came over and brought his Lappy. We played Bf1942 with 1050 tickets per map (400%)

Sat- Long flight and long drive. Not much else... No skiing because the lifts close at 4:00. Probably has Pizza for dinner (ooh! exotic!)

Sun- skiing! and not much else! w00t!

Mon- Skiing! and not much else w00t!

Tues - Private lesson all day with my dad.
Did some easy blues (green = n00b, blue= ok skier, black= good, dbl black= insane/insanely good)
Did a couple blacks.

Did a black that was about 70 degrees steepness started by a two-four foot cliff (couldn't tell the distance, fell and rolled about ten feet)

Did a dbl black bowl. That's insanity. Truly. Insanity. Painful too! caught my tips twice and fell twice. Started the hill by sliding (without my skis on) 15-20 feet.

Then did a 15 foot wall. Literal wall.

Wed - Tried to recover from lesson. Did a black, some blues, and some greens.

Went to Brekenridge (sp?) a close by resort and then to Vail. Of course, we forgot that two-wheel drive cars don't fare too well in snow on moutains.

Had an "adventure" trying to get back to the condo without any traction. w00t?

btw, snow+mountains+non 4 wheel drive = slippin' and slidin'.

Thurs - Didn't ski in the morning. Skied in 4 inches of fresh snow in the afternoon.

Fri - switched from my (bought them two yrs ago) 80-85 cm skis to (more) regular 150 cm skis. Weird change.

did a couple blacks and mostly blues.

AND my mom tore a ligament on the side of her knee and possibly her ACL.

Ok, you probably didn't understand any of that, seeing as no1 skis, but that was my week. Tommorow, skiing, Sun, return home and study for a math test (need an A... need an A...)
